Biography
Marianne Uhre Jakobsen is M.Sc. in human nutrition and Ph.D. in nutritional epidemiology. Her research focuses on the association between dietary fatty acids and the development of obesity, the metabolic syndrome, and cardiovascular disease. At present, her research is based on data from the Danish follow-up study ”Diet, Cancer and Health” and data from the multi-centre follow-up study European Prospective Investigation into Cancer and Nutrition (EPIC) which include data from the Danish study.
